Since 1988 the LBCC sailing regatta has been attracting construction companies to Cowes on the Isle of Wight to participate in Europe's largest industry regatta event. The LBCC is designed to bring together industry leading organisations in an informal setting, whilst still allowing for some 'friendly' competition.

Allen & York's sustained success and adaptability has allowed it to remain as a market leading and preferred supplier of staff to the majority of the LBCC's entries. Therefore, Allen & York welcomed the opportunity to join this year's field. Allen & York's first entry was met with great success. With little preparation time, Allen & York's crew needed to gel quickly in unfamiliar surroundings. The crew worked extremely well together to achieve a podium finish, whilst some quick thinking in often fluky wind conditions in other races allowed Allen & York to finish a very respectable 4th overall in their Class.

The LBCC's post race forum enabled Allen & York to strengthen existing client relations whilst allowing opportunities to develop new ones. Allen & York eagerly await the 2008 LBCC to compete against even more customers.

One of Allen & York's key clients, AMEY, was the overall winner and retained the Little Britain Challenge Cup. Allen & York finished 3rd in race four and 4th overall in class 4.
